St JOHN'S FEAST
The Feast is the social highlight of the weekend. It's a chance to don finery, enjoy fine foods and entertainment, and experience the formality of the Baronial Court.
Food is the main feature of any feast; this year we hope to sample foods from lands reaching from Western Europe all the way to the Holy Lands. Dust off your best dishes, sharpen your eating knife, and enjoy Lord Androu's cooking with your friends.
The A&S performance competitions will, for the edification of the populace and the glorification of the artistes, take place at intervals during the Feast. We welcome any other offers of short entertainment pieces - songs, dances, acts of legerdemain and daring (but not too daring) - just contact the Steward to volunteer.
At Their Excellencies' pleasure, there will be a Baronial Court held during the Feast - please bring any requests for official business to the Steward, who will arrange the matter with the Baronial Household and Herald. Their Excellencies are seeking recommendations for Baronial Awards - see the list of Ildhafn Awards for details, and send your recommendations to Baron Rudiger and Baroness Alyenora.
After the Feast is formally concluded, there will be music and dancing, followed by cards and games, socialising, and such genteel activities as may please the populace.
